Protecting Canada's Drinking Water

Lynda McCarthy Dr. Lynda McCarthy (Principal Investigator), Dr. Vadim Bostan, Dr. Andrew Laursen, Dr. Kim Gilbride, Dr. Mehrab Mehrvar, and Dr. Ron Pushchak have been awarded an NSERC Strategic Grant for their application titled "Protecting Canada's Drinking Water:  Developing Real-Time Early-Warning Biomonitoring Technology."  The team, composed of members from the Departments of Chemistry & Biology, Chemical Engineering, and the School of Occupational and Public Health, will receive $516,500 over three years.  Their industrial partner is Public Works, Niagara Region/Water/Wastewater Services.
